Join WSP, and you’ll be at the heart of a team of international experts all dedicated to growing and sharing their expertise and working on projects that transform society for all of us.WSP are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our ongoing project in NEOM.Data Engineer will create and maintain an optimal data pipeline architecture and will develop visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using Microsoft Power BI for project reporting.A typical week would include:* Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture* Responsible for planning, connecting, designing, scheduling, and deploying data warehouse systems* Work with stakeholders to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.* Assemble complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.* Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.* Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL technologies.* Research opportunities for data acquisition and new uses for existing data* Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:* Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.* Advanced working knowledge of Power BI* Experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures and data sets.* Experience in designing ETL processes including knowledge of data warehousing strategies and theories* Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.* Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.* Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.* Experience using the following software/tools:* Expert working knowledge with SQL, Power BI, and AzureWhat if we can?What if we can have work-life balance?
