    Director, Portfolio Management | Charterhouse

    Charterhouse are undertaking a search, for a leading financial services client, whom are in the process of looking to hire a Director level Portfolio Manager. With a reporting line to a Head of Business Planning and Credit Compliance, this role shall take ownership of the exposure management and analysis of risk factors, within their asset/loan book, across the Project Finance portfolio. This functional role will act as an interface with the credit department, to oversee and evaluate the portfolio and loan performance matrices, whilst also developing internal reports to assess any impairment costs along with ensuring credit and term reviews to mitigate any repayment risk and/or associated loss. This Director shall be expected to act as a key catalyst within a credit monitoring and product specification capacity, whilst also possessing a capability and knowledge of working with Origination (front office) teams to ensure all audit policies, contractual fees and compliance matters are considered and “factored-in” within any financial models, pitch proposal and client transactional activity. In conjunction, the role will also entail a review and implementation of any hedging policy, to assess the portfolios at any given time, whilst also being able to manage and escalate any financially distressed cases and/or risk deterioration to the required committees, for both grading and contractual considerations and/or operational change management.

    This Director role shall require an experienced professional, from within the Corporate or Project Finance space, combined with a demonstrable track record and aptitude within credit risk and product structures across multiple projects. The successful candidate shall inherit an ever-growing asset book, within a varied range of client/industry sectors, across a broad geographical coverage within emerging markets. As such, this Director shall also require impeccable stakeholder management skills, to meet the challenge both internally and externally, whilst acting as an interface to a whole-host of internal banking functions. Applicants shall also be expected to demonstrate in-depth regional market knowledge, coupled with a commercial acumen, to understand both client dynamics and the entire origination to execution process. This is designed to ensure the best client offering, within an internal framework of strong risk governance and mitigation, coupled with an advisory insight across the product range and client services.

    Director, International Structured Finance | Charterhouse

    Charterhouse are currently managing a search, for a banking client, whom are in the process of looking to hire a Director level role within their International and Structured Finance department. This role will be primarily designed to oversee, manage and develop marketing and origination activities, across the regional markets, to provide a strategic and knowledge-based business development support within this Middle East Corporate Finance unit.The client coverage and target-base within this role shall span a broad customer segment spanning corporates, financial institutions, advisors and government based. This complements the scope of product and client services that the bank is currently managing and within this expansionary phase, is looking to develop further. With a remit across the regional emerging and frontier markets, this Director shall play a critical role in meeting new business targets and revenue streams across the regional jurisdictions. These marketing/sales drivers shall be focused-on in conjunction with the tailoring of specific financing needs and client-services, to meet any “be-spoke” and/or advisory needs, across the product structuring and execution of specialized transactions and financing agreements.

    Our client will look to hire a seasoned banking professional, with a level of front office exposure, allowing them to manage and grow a team across the marketing, origination and execution aspects of the banking cycle. In conjunction, the Director shall also be able to deliver a level of product and theory knowledge across areas of corporate finance, credit risk, financial due diligence and documentation policy. This will be combined with an ability to understanding front to back office process and protocol; to ensure internal management and an appreciation of audit, regulatory and compliance-based procedures. Finally and critically, this Director will have a strong network and insight to the GCC (and MENA) markets; with an understanding of business opportunity and the product specifics and/or client needs within certain segments and customer categories.
