    Vice President, Financial Accounting & Reporting | Charterhouse

    Charterhouse are currently managing a search for one of our Banking client’s whom are in the process of looking to recruit a Vice President (VP) of Financial Analysis. Based out of their DIFC hub, this role shall be heavily geared towards the support and financial controllership across their business and coverage within Saudi Arabia (KSA). The VP will take responsibility across a broad role which take ownership of the full accounting, reporting and analysis piece across this operation which spans Brokerage, Equities and Investment Banking units. This VP will also have ownership of all regulatory and tax based accounting and reporting, for the KSA group, whilst managing all relationship points linked to these filings and working with all Audit partners to manage both accounts finalisation, any required reconciliation and subsequent transfer pricing. In conjunction, the VP will also be involved with any middle office and/or product control functions; whereby all P&L activities are completed for business review purposes along with the completion of accurate and commentary-based variance analysis. Due to the nature of the regional team set-up; the client will also look for a candidate whom can be heavily involved in any ad-hoc project work, across the legal entities, linking to reporting policies and financial controllership.

    The client will look to recruit a Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA) with a minimum of 8 years’ experience within a mainstream financial control and/or product control environment of a banking and/or financial services institution. The successful candidate shall be required to demonstrate a strong Excel skill-set (macros and VBA tools) coupled with an appreciation of strong technical accounting processes linking to both GAAP & IFRS principles. The candidate shall be well-versed within the areas of liquidity risk, capital reporting and regulatory frameworks; to ensure strong reporting capabilities both internally and externally. The nature of the KSA market also means that the client will look to recruit an Arabic speaking candidate in to this role. This links heavily too towards the tax and CMA-based interaction and any required translation within the financial statements and commentary. Subsequently, any candidate within the KSA and/or GCC market are proactively encouraged to apply, to ensure ease of inception and knowledge transfer. Finally, this position will require strong, clear and decisive applicants; to ensure that this complex role can be met whilst also managing remote and international reporting lines and any team oversight.

The Centre will provide a broad suite of skills and services to our clients, ranging from Packaged Applications such as SAP & Oracle, to Cloud services utilising AWS, Azure and Google, as well as expanding our existing Managed Services capabilities.  The center is looking to expand rapidly and we are looking for enthusiastic self-starters with a passion for technology and client delivery to help shape and form this new venture.  We are seeking to recruit a SAP Basis (Infra / Security) to join our team in Cairo.  The successful candidate will have a minimum of 6 years experience in delivering complex SAP (ECC and S/4HANA) platforms / environments and RBS solutions. They will be building a growing reputation within the local SAP market, and will bring a developing professional network, and good alliances into the SAP ecosystem.   You will report to the SAP delivery service leadership team and will be an integral part of the team based in Cairo, as well as those delivering client transformation programmes across the PwC Global Network, including the UK, Germany and Middle East. As an SAP Infrastructure / BASIS/ Roles and Security Manager, you will play a key role in the following areas:- Support the leadership and management of the new SAP Practice by taking an active role in the SAP team  – Responsibility for coaching and developing more junior team members  – Delivering exceptional client service and solutions across a number of SAP technical areas – Work with a global mindset with teams based in the UK, Germany and other Middle Eastern Countries – Leading delivery teams to deliver solutions that are on scope, time, quality and budget Role Requirements:- Ability to lead SAP Infrastructure discussions with the client – Responsible for providing HANA database sizing and performance metrics (On Premise and Cloud) – Experience of design, configuring, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting the SAP technical environment on an ongoing basis as well as scheduling and executing the SAP transport system – Experienced with troubleshooting issues with S/4HANA and other SAP product set up – Able to act as an interface to SAP Technical team for issues and hot fixes – Ability to leads role design discussions, designs technical roles, build and tests roles

    Essential skills & attributes:- Experience as a SAP BASIS Lead for at least 2 projects – Has the competence to perform the role effectively  – Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as basic presentation skills  – Ability to work within a fast-paced & unstructured environment.  Must be able to multi-task and effectively and continually prioritise  – Excellent time management, communication and organizational skills- Ability to interact efficiently with senior members of the firm across multiple time zones Education- University Degree
