New Vacancy – Lead System Administrator – Kuwait. (Core IT Infrastructure Department)
ROLE:
Reporting to an Executive Manager you will be responsible for Organizing and Planning the Implementation of Operating Systems, Data Center H/W Software, other Software Products and providing Technical Support over 24×7 timeframe to maintain the required level of reliability, serviceability and availability.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Evaluate and recommend Technical Solutions concerning System Administration in order to enhance the Technical areas under department responsibility
Monitor Systems and H/W Components and make sure to run it as per Manufacturer and Bank Standards
Write Technical Documentations which Describes in Details Current Systems Architecture and Operational Tasks
Communicate with Multiple Vendors for Recommendation and solve Complex Technical Issues and Troubleshooting Issues
Perform Root-Cause Analysis for Incidents happened during Operation life-cycle
Evaluate Resource Utilization and Reclaim Unutilized Resources back to Pool
Review and follow up on Audit Points and Vulnerability Assessment Reports and ensure Proper Closure within required time and Mitigation of any similar future incidents
Responsible for Development, Implementation and Maintenance of Assigned Projects within required time.
Perform a variety of tasks within the general scope of the job and others that may be assigned by the Management
Bachelor degree in IT / Computer Science or any equivalent
6 to 8 years of related experience preferably in Banking
Technical Certification in areas related to Infrastructure, Data Center and Systems is preferable
Ideally will also have the following Skills:
Capacity Planning
Technical Design Skills and Technical Documentation
Logical thinking and problem solving
Cloud Computing
SAN and Storage
Compute Infrastructure ( Physical & Virtual )
Operating Systems ( Linux , Windows and HP-UX)
Data Protection Technologies ( Backup , Replication )
