WSP is currently seeking an SQL Developer to join our Business Intelligence and Data Integration Team. Reporting to the Business Solutions Lead this position will be responsible for the development and maintenance of SQL data and to deliver high quality data into our data warehouse and operational datastore, along with exporting data in various formats for internal and external purposes. Additional responsibilities will be to assist in the creation and support of Power BI dashboards, reports and datasets.
Your new role, what’s involved?
* Analyze, design, develop, test, document and troubleshoot databases from high level detailed specifications;
* Accountable to ensure data integrity in Data Warehouse and Operational Datastore;
* Maintain, Monitor and support production ETL processes and respond to error and emergency issues;
* Must be able to multi-task between various tasks and projects;
* Conduct unit tests and assist in test preparations to ensure data integrity and data quality;
* Design and implement technical enhancements to Data Warehouse and Operational Datastore;
* Document technical requirements (ETL, Mapping, etc.);
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering or equivalent;
* 3- years of experience working with MS SSIS to design, develop and troubleshoot data integration processes;
* Strong development experience with MS SQL;
* Strong understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling;
* Excellent knowledge and experience with Data Warehouse and Operational Datastore concepts, ETL strategies and best practices;
* Strong analytical skills;
* Very good knowledge of Microsoft BI stack (SQL, SSIS, SSRS, Power Platform);
* Knowledge or experience with Agile methodology and tool (Azure devops);
* Good interpersonal and communication skills at the business and technical levels;
* Flexibility in organizing work;
* Resourcefulness in problem-solving;
* Experience with Azure Data Factory (an asset);
