The Company
Robert Half are working with a software IT company based in Dubai who specialize in innovative digital solutions. We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join their team and drive development, quality assurance and IT operations.
The Role
Main tasks include:
* Conduct the design and the implementation of applications’ build
* Applying security issues for AWS services
* Merge daily tasks involved in the development, quality control, deployment, and integration of software development into a continuous set of processes
* Analyze the technology currently being used and develop plans and processes for improvement and expansion
* Maintain and improve existing CI/CD tools, monitoring, and deployment with the AWS & ECS/EKS or similar tools.
* Participate in decision-making (choice of tools, deployment architecture, etc.)
* Orchestrate Docker containers in the development, stage and production environments
* Configure and deploy AWS services using Terraform (or Ansible)
* Deploy crypto nodes on various Blockchains
Other tasks include:
* Collaborate with engineering teams, mentor, share information with and learn from other engineers and help drive continuous improvement of our platform, without losing focus on the flow that generates customers’ value
* Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve the product quality
* Contribute to your team’s success through consistent, high quality code and have an appetite for learning new things
Candidate Qualifications?
Must-to-haves:
* 5+ years of working experience in Linux/Unix administration (Debian /
* Redhat / Ubuntu); AWS: VPC, EC2, RDS, CloudFront+S3, IAM, ECS, Route 53, ECR, SSM, KMS etc.
* Experience with Terraform in AWS domain or any other cloud
* Good knowledge of MySQL/PostgreSQL or other relevant NoSQL and RDBMS technologies
* Good knowledge of Apache, Nginx configuration (SSL, redirects, auth, etc)
* Blockchain experience – deploying masternodes for various blockchains
* Experience in configuration/optimization/maintenance/backups/failover
* Experience with logging and monitoring tools
* Working knowledge of English
Nice-to-haves:
* CloudFormation experience
* Software Engineering background
* Writing and supporting custom helm charts Kubernetes
* Experience with Python, Golang or Node.js
