The opportunity

We are looking to recruit the most talented individuals with combined sector and Program Management knowledge. As a Program and Portfolio Management (PPM) Consultant, you’ll contribute technically to Program Management client engagements and internal projects. An important part of your role will be to actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships. You’ll also identify potential business opportunities for Ernst & Young within existing engagements, and escalate these as appropriate. Similarly, you’ll anticipate and identify risks within engagements and share any issues with senior members of the team.

Your key responsibilities

– Drawing on your skills and experiences, you will work on program management engagements and work with a team to create commercial innovative insights for clients and devise methods and practices to fit operational team and cultural needs.
– You will be involved in complex capital, government or business reform programs spanning the entire lifecycle – from concept and feasibility, through planning, design and policy change; into procurement, commissioning, operational readiness and implementation.

Requirements

– University education
– At least 2 years ‘hands on’ experience working on project or programme management activities on major capital projects/business change programs, government reform programs or business transformations.
– Excellent communication, presentation and report writing skills.
– Experience using scheduling/cost control project software.
– Risk management/project controls.
– Sound analytical and problem solving ability.
– Operational performance improvement.

Ideally, you’ll also have

– Worked in major capital programs in either a government, nongovernment or professional services organisation
– Have project or programme management certificate
– Experience in working for professional services firm (consulting, engineering etc)
