Charterhouse are currently managing a search for a UAE-based regional insurance brokerage firm, whom are looking to recruit a Chief Insurance Technical Officer, to oversee all the technical aspects of their operation, corporate strategy and business development linked to their medical and general product and service lines.
This role will play a key part in the development, definition and implementation of the company’s underwriting and reinsurance policy, to ensure the strengthening of business opportunity and the growth of market coverage and product specification. This role shall also be geared towards the support and oversight of operational procedures, to ensure that existing business lines and client partnerships, can be maintained and enhanced, to create stronger business flows, client retention and product innovation. In conjunction, this role shall also be focused towards the development of revenue levels and the assessment of cost structures to allow for optimisation across financials and profitability.
The client will look to hire a technically proficient candidate from within the sphere of medical and general insurance. Their technical expertise and ability to innovate from a product, market and technology (digitally/social media) prospective shall be of vital importance within the selection process. The successful candidate shall also be required to demonstrate a track record within a management and succession planning; whereby the development of staff has been a core capability and focus. The client will look for a professionally qualified insurance professional (Associateship of Chartered Insurance Institute) with strong educational attainment along with a strong business network across the UAE and/or GCC market space. The successful candidate shall also be required to present sound reporting and stakeholder management skills, from within an insurance or brokerage environment, to allow for adequate commercial support and change management.
