Assistant Vice President, Compliance Management | Charterhouse

Charterhouse are currently managing a search, for a Banking client, whom are in the process of looking to recruit an Assistant Vice President (AVP) within their Compliance Management team.

This AVP level role is designed to support various Compliance Officers, within a centralised team, across areas of research, reporting, performance analysis and project-based regulatory monitoring. This role has evolved through the increased client scope and business channels across the regional market, from their Dubai hub, and the subsequent need to develop and roll-out compliance coverage across these regional jurisdictions. This AVP shall be expected to support any interpretation and internal implementation of regulatory change, within either compliance policy or across AML/KYC procedures, to ensure that matters and tasks are allocated to the relevant teams for the required delegation and execution. The position will have a support focus towards both the first and second line of defence compliance and it will play a critical role in sharing report findings, recommendations and the communication of client-specific data, to ensure the appropriate delegation and segregation of duties.

Our client will look to recruit a mid-level professional whom can demonstrate a degree qualification, with up to 5 years of exposure to a compliance or middle office function, within a corporate/wholesale banking operation. This AVP will require strong report writing and analytical-based skills, to ensure an accurate information flow, along with an ability to interpret and present findings to a diverse range of functional (compliance) experts at all levels of grade. Subsequently, this role will require an individual, whom can understand the core principles of compliance whilst being able to learn the broader picture with greater detail from a compliance, regulatory, business support and client-side prospective.
