Kings’ School Nad Al Sheba is seeking an experienced A/V Technician. This role will entail organizing and installing media equipment such as projectors, microphones, Sound mixers, Audio/video monitors, and sound systems.

To ensure success as an A/V technician, you should have advanced knowledge of audio and video equipment, experience with lighting programs and filming techniques, and excellent troubleshooting skills.

Audio Video Technician Responsibilities:
• Setup A/V equipment for meetings and various events around the school
• Meeting with Event Coordinators to discuss audio, lighting, and video requirements
• Troubleshooting A/V equipment when there are technical questions or problems related to A/V equipment and identifying appropriate solutions
• Altering venue arrangements according to school layout
• Laying electrical and sound cables. Setting up and installing microphones, lights, video monitors, projectors, speakers, and video cameras
• Inspecting mountings and electrical equipment to ensure they conform to health and safety regulations
• Troubleshooting equipment and ensuring events run smoothly
• Operating sound and visual equipment during live events.
• Maintaining the classroom display and AV setup
• Coordinating with the vendors for the LCD display
• Disassembling audio and visual equipment and packing up after the event
• Clean and maintain equipment, report damages to the IT Manager
• Provide additional support to the IT Team as when required.

Skills and Qualifications:
• Being able to work with various computer technology is a necessity for audiovisual professionals
• AV technicians troubleshoot all equipment issues in a timely manner
• Bachelor’s degree in sound engineering or a similar field
• Previous experience working as an AV technician
• In-depth knowledge of sound, video, and lighting equipment
• Familiarity with computers and IP Networking Systems
• Advanced knowledge of modern filming and sound mixing techniques
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to lift heavy equipment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
