Job Description & Summary
The Chief of Staff provides strategic leadership support as the go to business partner to the Finance and Accounting Platform business leader and leadership team alongside leading operational aspects of the running of the F&A Platform business under the key functional areas of people operations (L&D, Resourcing, People Performance/Engagement) and oversight of the financial operations team providing MI. Taking the lead in operationalizing the evolution of the legacy Finance Function Consulting and CMAAS businesses into one F&A Platform business including changing organizational structures, refreshing strategy, driving engagement and collaboration across the broader business including leadership comms and team updates whilst supporting the F&A Platform Leaders and COO in the general running of the business.

As a Senior Manager, you’ll help to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Leadership & strategic support

– Working with the F&A Platform Leader to bring together two business units into one by redefining and refreshing the strategy and driving key priorities (such as implementation of SDC usage, salesforce implementation & people engagement and innovation).
– Developing the agenda and content for monthly leadership meetings, bi-annual partner meetings, quarterly regional office updates, weekly Vertical Leader sessions and ad hoc sessions such as P/D assessment day, strategy sessions with new partners, EMEA/global meeting updates and monthly F&A Platform updates for ALT.
– Connected to the Global and EMEA network in both Finance Function Consulting and CMAAS.  Providing insights/information when required on things such as product offerings within ME, SDC usage and digital upskilling programs.
– Monitoring partner YTD revenues and escalation to F&A Platform Leader where personal partner targets were not being met in order to support redistribution of the client portfolio.
– Working with F&A Platform Leader and R&Q Leaders on relevant aspects of QCA/Independence/IFA etc for F&A Platform.
– Pulling together ad hoc slide decks and strategy/priority updates as required and attending any global/EMEA leadership calls when needed.

People Operations

– Taking the lead on people initiatives such as Digital Accelerator and other internal programs with F&A Platform leadership sponsorship, coordinating the staff assessments, management of assessment days and organization of mock panels.

Financial Operations

– Review of MI produced by F&A Platform operations team including rollover results, forecasting data, wins/pipeline and monthly country MI packs.
– Leading FY budgeting process starting from market view of revenue potential and driving these conversations with the F&A Platform LT along with the bottom up headcount modelling template exercise.
– Supporting Financial Operations Managers in their roles, providing guidance and support where needed.

Team Leadership & go-to contact for staff

– Leadership of the F&A Platform Operations team deliverables – Ops managers and their CAA’s in the region delivering on financial MI, billing, code creation and termination and monthly reporting packs.
– Go-to person for the F&A Platform staff on any people related matters such as performance concerns, annual process, L&D curriculum, people tools such as workday, vantage and snapshot.

Preferred skills

– Thorough understanding and experience in the Consulting and Assurance industry
– Strong stakeholder management and demonstrable influencing skills particularly with very senior leadership; proven track record of working within complex stakeholder networks.
– Strategic cost reduction / value creation
– A strong problem-solver and able to work calmly under pressure.
– Strong project management skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver projects on time, sometimes to strict deadlines
– Comfortable managing and leading people including being able to delegate effectively and appropriately
– A strong understanding of business and current affairs including a thorough knowledge of the economic, political and business drivers impacting the Consulting LoS and professional services in particular.
